The Difference You Make

Each of the organisations and individuals listed here has chosen to stand alongside our seniors. Some provide food and essentials, others give their time and skills, and still others offer financial support. Every contribution strengthens our ability to deliver food parcels and social connection programmes across Marlborough.

The need in our community is real and growing. Many older New Zealanders live alone, manage fixed incomes, and face rising costs for essentials. For some, a food parcel is the difference between a full fridge and an empty one. For others, a friendly call or a community morning tea is the difference between isolation and belonging.

There are many ways to support ElderLink. Local businesses can sponsor food parcels or donate goods and services. Community groups can organise fundraising events. Individuals can make one-off or regular donations. If you are unsure where to start, please get in touch. We are always happy to talk through the options.

Support can take many forms. A regular donation, however modest, helps us plan ahead. A one-off gift can cover the cost of a food parcel or contribute toward a community gathering. Both one-off and regular giving can be set up easily through our Givealittle page at givealittle.co.nz/cause/elderlink. A business might offer account credits, products, or services rather than cash. A community group might run a fundraiser, donate raffle prizes, or lend a venue for an event. Volunteers might give a few hours a week, whether that is packing parcels, driving, baking, or making friendly calls. Each of these contributions matters, and each one helps extend what we are able to offer.

Every contribution we receive is directed toward the work ElderLink exists to do. That work includes food parcels for households across Blenheim, Renwick, and the wider Marlborough region, social connection opportunities such as morning teas and shared activities, and practical support with transport, digital tasks, and the everyday challenges that can become overwhelming for someone managing alone.
